“ A friend took me here and it was so awesome that I took my son here the next week. The atmosphere is very good so many symbols of the country and people. The was absolutely most excellent!!! I will be coming here often. ”
“ I rarely give out 5 stars, but Alaska Taste of Thai is worth it. Family run and owned. Friendly atmosphere, attentative staff and wonderful food. So much of Thai food today is greasy and over spiced. But not at Alaska Taste of Thai. My wife had the steamed garlic halibut and I had the seafood platter. The halibut was fresh and cooked to perfection. My seafood platter had generous portions of shrimp, scallops and calamari. The steamed veggies were crispy and the sticky rice were wonderful additions to the meal. ”
“ Always good service. Food is excellent. Great option of you have dietary restrictions as they can modify most entrees ”
“ Today, I ordered from here for the first time, and I’m a long time resident. I LOVE spicy food, but in general I like the cuisines of many different cultures, and am willing to try new things. Other than being kindly greeted upon entry, the wait wasn’t long at all, and the price was fair. When I got home and tried my yellow chicken curry...I just about danced with joy like I was a little boy again. Not an exaggeration. It had just the right amount of spice, coconut subtlety, and consistency with the added potatoes. I will now become a regular as I try the other items they offer on their menu. ”
“ Wonderful little tucked away spot for Thai in Anchorage. There is no shortage of incredible Thai in this town and this is a place I would highly recommend on the South end. The menu has a very nice sampling of lunch specials. I opted for the Spicy Wide Noodles, which were excellent. The restaurant is immaculate and the decor and music all contribute to the overall atmosphere. All of their art pieces were purchased and shipped over from Thailand. I’m not sure there can be a bad Thai Iced Tea but I really enjoyed their blend, it wasn’t overly sweetened which helped me to enjoy the flavor of the tea. The staff here is phenomenal, so friendly. They are right near the Subway Rink, so plan to go before or after your game. Also, Goodwill has a donation Xpress center right next door so bring items. They’re open between 10:00-7:00 (closed for a half hour at 2:30 for lunch). ”
“ We have been eating at Taste of Thai since 2011 and keep coming back. This is the best Thai restaurant in Anchorage. Our favorites are garlic and peppercorn halibut, yellow curry, panang curry, cashew nut chicken and pork stew. Our kids fight over the food as it comes out. ”
“ Alaska Taste of Thai had a great selection of items in the menu which consisted of curries, fried rice, soups and thai specialities. You can customize the proteins in most of the dishes by your choice. We found many vegetarian items which was helpful. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by their smile and warmth. They had a great selection of wine and beer in the menu including the famous Thai Singha beer. The fried tofu appetizer that came with the tasty peanut sauce was awesome. For our kids, we ordered the pineapple fried rice. The adults in our group went with yellow and green curry. Most items can be tuned to your spicy level. We were also provided with an array of spicy sauces and powder to help ourselves. The restaurant had a great ambience which made us felt being in Thailand. There is plenty of parking before the restaurant. They are very welcoming in their service. Throughout the time, they kept checking on us to help with anything we needed. Overall, this is the best of Thai restaurants in Anchorage. ”
“ My favorites are shrimp spring roll, fried roll, the Taste of Thai Special and Coconut Curry. My family loved the food and atmosphere here. ”
